Eid e Zehra (Eid e Shuja) 2025

Eid e Zehra 2025 will be celebrated on Evening Sunday, 31 August 2025 - Monday, 1 September 2025, which is the 9 Rabi ul Awal 1447 AH in the Islamic calendar. This day is also called Eid e Zahra, Eid e Shuja or Farhat e Zahra. It is a happy and important day for Shia Muslims.

What is Eid-e-Zehra?

Eid-e-Zehra is a day that comes after the period for Imam Hussain (AS) and the sad event of Karbala. According to Shia beliefs, on this day, Lady Fatima Zahra (SA), the daughter of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), felt peace and joy because justice was done.

This day also shows the start of the Imamat (leadership) of the 12th Imam, Imam al-Mahdi (AJ). Shia Muslims believe he is alive and will come back in the future to spread peace, justice, and truth in the world.
